Kate got her first tooth yesterday and she's doing great. She's got another tooth trying to cut through but you wouldn't know it by the way she acts. She's a tough kid.

Not alot of huge milemarkers this week. She's improving really well though. Her eye-hand coordination is getting better all the time. She's laughing alot more too. She can sit up on her own when she stresses hard enough at it. She'll be doing it on her own soon enough. Sorry, there's no new pictures this week.

Kate is just clipping right along. She's been grabbing things alot this last week. In fact, she's learned how to grab her pacifier from us and put it in her mouth see video. She got all bundled up for a date with Mom and Dad. She got to go for a walk and see National Treasure. She couldn't take her eyes off it. On Saturday, she got her very own ticket to go to Guatemala with Mom and Dad in July.

Kate has had a few firsts this week. We put her back in her door bouncer and she has decided that she likes it now. She's just the right size for it too. We also pulled out her high chair. Now she sits with us and while we do our homework, she does hers. She been watching our food quite a bit lately and is still pretty hungry after she's done eating so we started giving her a little bit of rice cereal to give her a little more sustenance. She has also come up with a new laugh. It's a little more squealy than at first but is totally random.

Kate is starting to really enjoy sitting up. She still has to be propped up but she likes sitting up and loves playing with her book and her puppy. As such, she is able to entertain herself quite a bit more now, making it a little easier on Mom and Dad.

Kate is smiling more and more. She's got a cute little sense of humor. She's like her dad though. Most of the time she just gets a smiley laugh rather than laughing out loud. She's been practicing her singing quite a bit. In fact, she sang with us for Family Home Evening this week. Saturday, we took her sledding at the park. She didn't quite know what to think about it.

This has been a pretty good week for Kate. She is now taking a pacifier more often then our fingers. In fact, she has tasted finger very little this week. She's also going to bed all by herself now. As you can imagine, that makes life and homework A LOT easier. Dad learned not to look away while holding a baby above the head. I was able to block to her first shot but she got me in the head with her second spit. Kate has made a new friend this week. She has a pink stuffed puppy. She sleeps with it and stuffs it in her mouth. Best friends.
